The Viking

I originally started with this real life Viking Sculpture

I then sketched it using india ink and a pea pod.

Then using Adobe Illustrator, I spent a few hours tracing each part of the sketch to get this nice vector image, which can now be resized to anything without quality loss. You'll need to click on the image to tell the difference since the thumb nails don't show how they differ.

Finally I had to use vector shades to try to re-create the color patterns, but vector methods have their limitations, so it didn't come out to well.
